Making your own pizza sauce is so easy and it’s such a game changer. If you still use a store-bought sauce on your homemade pizza, this is your call. Try this recipe and enjoy!

Ingredients
1 Tbsp olive oil
1 clove of garlic
1 medium onion
2 Tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp raw sugar
1 can of diced tomatoes
½ cup of passata
1 Tbsp oregano
1 Tbsp Italian herbs
1 tsp sea salt
A few leaves of fresh basil (chopped)
Instructions
In a medium saucepan, heat the oil to medium. Add onion and garlic and sauté for approx. 3 minutes. Add tomato paste and raw sugar. Mix well and sauté for 2 more minutes.
Add tomatoes, passata, oregano, Italian seasoning, and salt. Mix well. Bring to boil and simmer for 30 min or until thickened (reduced).
Optional – blend with a stick blender until smooth.
Add in fresh basil and mix. Spread on the pizza dough and place your favorite toppings.
